In this
State, there are workers who:
-
Provide healthcare for
the elderly and people with disabilities, but do not
have health insurance themselves.
-
Take care of other
people’s children, but can’t afford decent child care
for their own.
-
Protect our safety,
suffer unsafe working conditions.
Now more than
ever, workers across the State are turning to AFSCME for
a strong voice on the job and in their communities.
VMOs play a
unique role by engaging in personal conversations as
card-carrying, due-paying members of AFSCME. VMOs are
good listeners, passionate about injustice, outgoing,
dependable, and able to move people to action and
strategic thinkers. Most of all, you must believe in the
union.
Since 2001,
more than 100 AFSCME members have dedicated their time
to bringing dignity and justice to workers. From Miami
to Tallahassee members have answered the call to action
by reaching out and sharing the positive impact that
AFSCME has had in their workplace. Join your union
brothers and sisters in helping workers earn a living
wage, a voice on the job and healthcare for themselves
and their families.
