Public Service Spotlight: Shawanna Henderson

At my job, I often serve as a voice for Florida’s pest control industry and farmers. I look out for them and work with them, so they can protect our state from pest infestations and grow the crops our state depends on. But if I don’t have a voice on the job, that means I don’t have a seat at the table to advocate for them and their needs. That’s true for all AFSCME public service workers – through our union, we use our voices to advocate for the communities we serve. To protect our public services, we must protect workers’ rights on the job and our ability to come together in union.
