MOMENT OF SILENCE HELD IN SOUTH FLORIDA IN REMEMBRANCE OF MEMPHIS SANITATION WORKERS KILLED IN 1968, SPARKING PIVOTAL STRIKE

AFSCME Florida is proud to represent the hard-working men and women who make our country and our state the great melting pot of cultures, ideas and people that it has been and will continue to be.

The Working People’s Day of Action is about demanding an end to the rigged economy and defending our freedoms. On February 24, we will stand up for the freedom of working people to come together and fight for decent and equitable pay for our work, affordable health care, quality schools, vibrant communities and a secure future for all of us.

Because of you, we’re one step closer to stopping a bill that will raise taxes on hardworking Americans to pay for massive tax cuts for the super wealthy and corporations.

Tell your representative NO:

  • To raising taxes on 87 million working families
  • To cuts to Medicare and 13 million people losing health insurance
  • To future cuts to Medicaid, Social Security and public education, and other public services

Tell them that everyone needs to pay their fair share.
