In related news, President Biden took action to erase $10-20,000 in student debt so there will be some relief, but not the complete erasure or higher figures many had advocated for. Also, repayments were pushed back to end of the calendar year.
AFSCME is also advocating for an extension of the October 31 deadline for application for the waiver for Public Service Loan Forgiveness program until next year so even those who do not have student debt have an action we can take action to call for the extension.
